As a cloak of fuchsia pink signs flickered across the crowd at Sunday night's One Love Manchester gig, Justin Bieber invited concertgoers to join in a chant shouting 'love' which subsequently echoed across the arena, before breaking into acoustic versions of his hit singles, Cold Water and Love Yourself.

Overwhelmed with emotion at the concert – which saw Coldplay, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus in attendance to honour the victims of the city's terror attack last month – the 24-year-old Canadian singer held off tears, telling his fans: 'It's an honour for me to be here.'

'I'm not going to let go of hope, let go of love, let go of God,' he added.

A day later, Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez appeared on Sirius XM's Morning Mash Up and praised everyone involved in the concert, and even congratulated Justin on his stellar performance.

'It was beautiful,' she said. 'I thought everyone did such a beautiful job. It was so gorgeous. I love how she [Ariana] ended it. I thought Justin did great. It was really beautiful.'

Following years of an ongoing feud between the pair, which has seen Justin throwing shade at Selena's new love, The Weeknd, and Selena admitting she's had a bad record with 'guys with greasy bowl cuts', it appears the tension might slowly be easing between the pair.

Of course, it didn't take long before 'Jelena' fans began swooning at Selena's complimentary words about her former beau.

During the interview, the 24-year-old Bad Liar singer also explained her love of touring with her current boyfriend on tour.

'I love being supportive, like I love just being there and just kind of having somebody's back,' she said. 'It feels good. I haven't had that feeling in a while.'

Finally, Selena and Justin might have made peace.
