Unlike many former England rugby players who opt for careers in coaching or modelling following years on the pitch, it sounds like Zara Phillips' husband, Mike Tindall, might have his eyes set on a gig in Hollywood.

During last night's charity gala, Hope & Homes For Children: End The Silence, at London's Abbey Road, the royal family member revealed he is yet to meet Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan Markle, but when he does he has one question to ask her – whether she can help him get a cameo role in her hit show, Suits.

The father revealed to the Sun he's 'excited' to meet Markle, adding: 'I'm a massive fan of Suits so I want to pick her brain more on that than anything else.'

With appearances on shows such as Channel 4's winter sports contest The Jump, ITV's Bear Grylls: Mission Survive and a rumoured appearance on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing later this year, the former sportsman isn't exactly shy when it comes to appearing on television, so perhaps this is the logical next step for the budding actor.

'A cameo in Suits is one thing I would definitely do, I could be a door bouncer or something,' he joked. 'I'll have to ask Meghan if she can get me in.'

Unfortunately for the star, he missed the chance to meet the 35-year-old actress at Pippa Middleton's wedding last month as he failed to nab an invite to the nuptials.

'We weren't invited to Pippa's wedding actually, we don't see them that much. The party looked really good — I haven't seen any of the crew to hear the stories and gossip yet. I haven't been able to get the lowdown,' he added.

Well, that's another thing he can ask Meghan about when they finally meet, as she attended the evening's festivities with her boyfriend after he drove a 100-mile trip to take her to the highly-anticipated nuptials.

However, Tindall's hopes to star in the Californian-born actress' show might be short lived, amid rumours Markle is planning on leaving the show to move in permanently with her 32-year-old royal beau at Kensington Palace.

Get in there quick, Mike.
