Since Katy Perry and Taylor Swift seem to still be in a primary-school fight death-grip, it's fitting that Katy sat down with a seven year-old for an interview.

Joking aside, this new cute method of promoting things has seen both Emma Watson and Victoria Beckham be interviewed by tiny people and we love it.

This time round, Katy sat down for a chat with curly-haired Poppy for W, who, to be honest, is actually quite shrewd. She's not letting Perry off easy with some Graham Norton-style conversation, she went in full Paxman.

Poppy Browne is the seven year-old second grader from Village Community School in New York City and daughter of W's feature director Alix Browne.

She questioned the pop-star about her clothing inspiration and her favourite song when she was seven.

Unsurprisingly, one of Poppy's fave songs is by Katy Perry herself (same babe).

And if Polly doesn't want to grill powerful women for a living when she gets older, she does still have a career in both hoolahooping and singing, since they close the interview with a sweet (albeit shaky) rendition of Katy's hit 'Firework'.

Watch for your heart to melt:

Katy's new album Witness is being released today to mixed reviews.

And has been slightly hampered by T Swift's move to put all of her music on Spotify on the same day.

Irregardless, Perry's pop power doesn't look like it's going anywhere with fans like these.
