This week, an hour has barely gone by when we haven't been checking our social media feeds for updates regarding Beyoncé's pregnancy, amid rumours the 35-year-old singer was in labour on Tuesday.
However, in true Queen Bee style, she's no doubt had the twins, sent them off to school and is already working on a follow up to Lemonade, given her track record of surprising her fans.
And while her sister Solange and mother Tina might not be at her bedside this week, leading many of her fans to presume Beyoncé has either had the twins or is still yet to give birth, it appears Jay Z is taking no chances when it comes to missing his new bundles of joy's big day.
According to E! News, Jay Z was unable to attend the 48th Annual Songwriters Hall Of Fame Induction and Awards Gala in New York City earlier this week, despite being rumoured to accept the honour of being the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall.
As a result, Jay Z took to Twitter to gush about the rappers during his life who have inspired him - proof that fatherhood is making him just that bit soppy.
Which we love, by the way.
Last night, the 41-year-old (soberly) tweeted his thanks to more than 80 – yes 80 - hip hop artists, including the likes of De La Soul, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
We emphasise the word 'sober' here because Jay, understandably, loses track on which rappers he's mentioned on multiple occasions.
In his excitement of having won the major hip hop honour, the rapper then tweeted about Barack Obama, posting a link to a Dropbox folder which unfortunately didn't contain anything but, you know, the sentiment was there.
After all, it was Obama who delivered a beautiful introduction as part of the Songwriters Hall of Fame presentation.
'Like all of you, I'm a fan. I've been listening to Jay since I was a young and hungry state senator ... so I'm pretty sure I'm still the only president to listen to Jay's music in the oval office,' Obama said.
As a final tweet to his fans, Jay also made sure not to forget Ariana Grande's boyfriend Mac Miller, who he thinks is 'nice too though'.
I mean, with Beyoncé rumoured to be in labour/resting at home post-labour/no doubt getting ready for a photoshoot to announce the twins' arrival, it seems Jay has a lot of time on his hands right now.
Just you wait until the nappy changes, Jay. You won't know what's hit you...
