A schoolchild has imitated how adults bail on each other's plans all the time and it's scarily too close to the bone.

If you're one of those people who messages a friend to say you're five minutes away when you haven't even left the house, or drop out of your best mates' dinner plans with the excuse 'I forgot' or 'I'm tired', prepare to get a wake up call from six-year-old Ava Ryan.

Last week, a video of the schoolchild making fun of the way adults cancel plans with the most pathetic of excuses went viral, and has had us laughing all morning with just how accurate her imitations are.

Ava's mother, Katie Ryan, posted the clip to Instagram and Facebook in which Ava can be hard introducing herself as her alter-ego Charlene, described in the caption as 'your hot mess friend' and begins the clip: 'I'm sorry I was eight hours late for brunch yesterday…I forgot. I'm speechless. I just don't believe in being on time.'

First of all, let us just quickly mention how cool this girl is with her messy mis-match hair tied buns and pulled-up collared denim jacket. Anyway, we digress.

In the clip, Ava continues:

I'm so busy today — I've actually been looking at pictures of baby goats. Yeah, like really busy, like three hours of doing work (three hours of looking at pictures of baby goats). I'm feeling really good about myself tonight so I'm just gonna have some water, refreshing. Oh no! I missed my mouth. Looking flawless, like my dreams. Girl, I know I'm a mess but that's what I live for.

Since posting the video five days ago, the clip has received over 1,000 comments on Instagram and shared over 8,000 times on Facebook.

However, this isn't the first time Ava has been our life guru.

In the past, the star's mother has posted videos of the little girl cutting deep to the soul about our obsession with our iPhones.

Friday night! Let's get cray!

Shown us what we sound like when we walk around Topshop.

I once asked how she likes to relax and clear her mind. She replied "shopping for shirts."
