In the last two weeks, it seems the only conversations I've had with colleagues, housemates and friends have concerned just two subjects – the weather and feeling tired.

Raise your hand if these soundbites are familiar:

1. The weather

'I like it hot, but not this hot'

'I just can't seem to get to sleep at the moment'

'I want to sleep with the window open but then I find I get cold and start thinking about whether I need to buy a new duvet'.

2. Exhaustion

'I don't know what it is at the moment but I'm knackered'

'I was so tired this morning, I could barely get out of bed'

'I'm planning on having an early night tonight'.

So, if like me you're sick and tired of this Groundhog Day-like, negative small talk (which I'm totally guilty of doing myself, by the way) you'll be happy to know that the latest lifestyle trend to come our way is all about pampering and sleep.

What more could you ask for, hey?

Spain's capital city, Madrid, has just opened its very own 'Nap Bar' called Siesta & Go - a cosmopolitan pitstop offering 19 beds in both shared and solo rooms for those of us who fancy the occasional midday nap.

With the concept widespread across New York, Paris, London Brussels and Tokyo, the website explains that visitors to the site can lie back in a chair with their feet up, pop on some slippers, grab a coffee, read a book, lie down on a bed, connect to the wifi, read the newspaper and charge their phones.

For approximately £12 for an hour's reservation, visitors can also use the spot's work areas to carry get through their mounting workloads, study for a masters or take the time to pick up a new language.

Located in the heart of the city's financial district, Siesta&Go provides a cheaper, time-savvy and calmer alternative than taking public transport to nip home for a quick siesta, or picking up a coffee in a busy coffee shop during your lunch break.

Siesta & Go's message? 'This is the time to be who you want to be' (Estas el tiempo que quieras estar)

We'll take a room for a whole day, thanks.
