On Sunday, the world was introduced to the 13th Doctor in Doctor Who - the delightful Jodie Whittaker.

Whittaker told the BBC that it feels 'completely overwhelming' and 'incredible' to be the first woman to do so.

Jenny Trout tweeted a heart-warming video of her daughter's reaction to the news and it currently stands at just under 18,000 Retweets.

'The new Doctor is a girl!' she screams excitedly upon hearing about the new role. That reaction? That's exactly why Jodie's casting is so important.
