Summer is the perfect time to totally enjoy life – the long summer evenings in the park with friends, the chance to eat copious amounts of pitta bread, hummus, Calippos and drink rosé because 'Y.O.L.O.', and voyage to the far reaches of Europe to wander through the cobbled streets of Rome and sample tinto de veranos until sunset in Madrid.
However, it seems one teenager had a different kind of view of what her summer would have in store for him/her this year and unfortunately for the poor soul, their list of aspirations has just gone viral due to their hilarious #lifegoals.
According to the list's original poster on Twitter known as @scorpiosars, the note was found in an Urban Outfitters dressing room, and lists a series of goals most teenagers are looking to achieve in life: going to a party, enjoying a road trip, and having sex.
The 'Summer Bucket List 2017' includes 41 dreams, ranging from the bizarre ('get a boob hickey', 'get a little tan', 'fix home screen' and 'pet a giraffe'), and downright hilarious (enjoy a 'giant water balloon fight', take 'eight hoe pics for Instagram' and 'decorate room'), to the somewhat cringe ('given two blow jobs' and 'have sex').
Sadly for the teen, they've now lost their precious list. It's in the possession of the internet. But, at least they can always check Twitter to be reminded of their dreams for the summer, right?
Look, we might laugh at the list and find the specificity of the activities a bit odd ('eight hoe pics' and 'two blow jobs' is slightly strange and probably not to be encouraged), but we can't fault the teen's ambition. After all, the summer isn't long and all we've managed to do this month is drink a bit too much Pimm's, enjoy a weekend in Ibiza and tidy our bathroom cupboard.
Our main hope is that the teen isn't underage (as a lot of his/her aspirations are pretty illegal if they're below the age of 18), and that they want to achieve everything on their summer bucket list because they want to experience new things, and not due to peer pressure from classmates or society.
To make things even more bizarre, actress Mara Wilson of Matilda fame shared her two cents on the subject, suggesting the emphasis on the 2017 might suggest the teen is 17 (although we don't really understand that connection there).
Others are convinced the teen's language suggests he/she is closer to 15-years-old.
We must admit, we're pretty inspired the teen has set their sights so high this summer.
To identify the teen, keep an eye out for anyone petting a giraffe, gazing at stars, buying seven bikinis and Ray Bans this summer.
