Ryan Reynolds is a really good guy. We know this because he's Canadian (we're stereotyping, but it's positive, so that's fine) and because we have video evidence.

Like, when he says that his main aim in life is to make his wife, brilliant actress and mother of his two children Blake Lively, laugh.

Or when he went to a fan's prom to help her get over her boyfriend.

Or when he spoke about his harmonious love of Jake Gyllenhaal.

Or when he dedicated an award to the memory of cancer victims.

Or when - yeah, you get it, he's the very best.

British five year-old Daniel Downing is probably Deadpool's (Ryan's x-rated Superhero alter-ego) most inappropriately-aged fan.

He also has been given only months to live after being diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer, called pontine glioma. His inoperable brain tumour is terminal.

Daniel's palliative care to make his standard of living better is in Bristol, far away from the family's home in Plymouth, so they have set up a JustGiving page to raise £6,000 to help them set up a temporary home in the new city.

The page has surpassed its donation expectation, raising £17,247 so far.

On top of this, Ryan Reynolds reached out to their family after finding out that the young boy was such a fan.

They set up a phone call, which quickly became a FaceTime between the pair of them.

Daniel showed off his Deadpool t-shirt to Ryan, to which Ryan joked, 'you know I'm the only one who doesn't have one of those t-shirts'.

After asking Daniel about whether he ad seen the box-office hit he mentioned, 'you're a little young', but we're guessing a lot of the jokes went over the 5 year-old's head.

He shocked Daniel when he told him, 'You know what I'm doing right now? I'm filming Deadpool 2. I'm about to walk into the set and shoot Deadpool 2.'

Ryan then takes Daniel on a tour of the set through the video call.

Daniel's family describes him on the crowdfunding page,

Daniel is the most amazing 5 year old 'young man' you could ever wish to meet. Full of life, mischievous, polite, intelligent, innocent, and above all, loving. He is adored and cherished by his mum Steph, his dad Robbie, his brother Jack (8 yrs old), and Steph's partner, Ady. Daniel has such an adorable character that he really fits the phrase 'once met, never forgotten.'

We're sure Ryan will never forget meeting Daniel either.
