There are those live music moments that are once in a lifetime.

Like when Prince did those surprise gigs in London back in 2014.

Or an early Arctic Monkey's gig with Alex Turner decked out in a The Little Flames t-shirt (the band of his future collaborator Miles Kane).

Well, what happened on Sunday night might go down in the history books as one of the coolest live performances ever.

Frank Ocean was headlining L.A.'s FYF Festival with a set similarly low-key and arty as the one London saw at Lovebox a few weeks ago.

However there was one major hunk-shaped difference this time.

Ocean, who was wearing a vintage Nike 'Instant Karma' T-shirt, took a moment in his to cover the 70s hit 'Close To You', originally by the Carpenters, which he seemed to 'mash-up' with the Jackson 5's 'Never Can Say Goodbye'.

To create the ultimate performance, superstar actor Brad Pitt joined Frank on the stage.

Brad Pitt joined producer Vegyn on the stage, and held a phone up to his face, emoting his reaction to the serenade, all for a kind of conceptual-art style performance which was filmed by the legendary Spike Jonze.

The big screen displayed the live footage of Brad, nodding and smiling and displaying his emotions along to Frank's singing.

Obviously the internet was really, really excited by this 'cameo'.

Though, perhaps it shouldn't come as such a surprise that the 53-year-old actor appeared at the gig, since Brad has been pretty vocal about his love of Frank's music.

He told GQ:

'I've been listening to a lot of Frank Ocean. I find this young man so special. Talk about getting to the raw truth. He's painfully honest. He's very, very special. I can't find a bad one.'

In the famously depressing interview, Pitt said he was listening to R&B after his split from his three year marriage with Angelina Jolie, because it, 'comes from great pain, but it's a celebration.'

'To me, it's embracing what's left.'

And it didn't take long for rumours to start flying regarding what might be next from the pair.

As we mentioned, Oscar-winning director, screenwriter and producer Spike Jonze was seen filming the performance, hinting that there might be a further secret project.

Fingers crossed for more Frank Ocean and Brad Pitt beauty please.
