When you look back at photos of yourself at the tender age of four, what do you see?

You, debuting your new self-cut fringe?

You, naked, on the beach eating sand...anyone?

Equal parts embarrassing and inappropriate, they're probably the sort of thing your mum will wheel out in front of future partners, just to make you die of cringe.

Unless you are Jack Faris-Pratt, in which case, you can look back with pride and know that the seedling of your eternal coolness was planted at such a young age.

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have been married for eight years, the pair met on the set of their movie Take Me Home Tonight, 2007, in which they were love interests, and started dating from there.

Their son, Jack, arrived in August 2012 premature, but has since grown up to be a healthy, curious, and, dare we say, extremely cool four year old.

Up 'til now we have only seen Jack in, quite frankly, adorable pictures and videos on the couple's Instagrams.

And though thought these snapshots into the family's life are pretty great, we were ready for the next level - some red carpet realness.

Thankfully, Jack did not disappoint.

Anna took him to the premiere of her new film The Emoji Movie.

Starring the likes of Patrick Stewart, Sofia Vergara, Christina Aguilera, James Corden, and Maya Rudolph.

The 40 year-old Anna Faris voices Jailbreak, the codebreaker emoji.

Though it looks like Faris is the romantic lead in the film, Jack was the star of the carpet.

Sporting a patterned tie and emoji trainers, Jack held hands with his mum for the cameras.

Hitting some pretty smooth poses.

We wonder where he got those looks from?

Hmmmm...

Faris spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her trepidation in bringing him to the event, saying:

I guess he loves attention just like mommy. But it does feel like, 'Am I doing the right thing as a parent?' It's also terrifying to bring your kid to such a public event.

Faris has no need to be scared, she is obviously a fabulous mum.

And from me to you Anna, my parents let me eat sand, multiple times, and photographed it, so you're doing great.
