It took just 10 days for White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci – otherwise known as 'the Mooch' – to be fired from the White House. The news comes a week after describing himself as a 'front-stabber', calling BBC journalist Emily Maitlis an 'elitist', outlining his political strategy was to let President Donald Trump 'express his personality', and missing the birth of his second child with estranged wife Deidre Bell, who he reportedly texted 'I'll pray for our child' when he heard the news.
The reason behind the firing came from Mr Trump's spokeswoman, Sarah Sanders, who suggested the president was displeased with the former Wall Street financier's performance during his term serving the president.
'Mr Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best,' she explained.
Of course, it took Twitter exactly five seconds to start reacting to the news of Scaramucci's short-stint in the White House, with social media users calling out everything in life that lasts longer than the former communication director's tenure in Office, using the hashtag '#LastsLongerThanScaramucci'.
Of course, our favourite reaction to Scaramucci's firing was from actress Kate Hudson, who pretty much nailed the sentiment in one Instagram picture.
Au revoir, Scaramucci!
