Along with dropping a glass of red wine on the dress, a runaway bride or groom, or an offensive best man's speech that successfully upsets the bride and her family, losing an engagement ring has got to be up there with one of the most distressing moments that could affect a bride's big day.

Unfortunately for just-married bride Lusea Warner from Bridport in Dorset, this is an incident she knows all too well.

Lucea and her partner James recently tied the knot at St John's Church in the nearby village of Symondsbury, Dorset where two cars were broken into and her engagement ring was stolen from her maid of honour's handbag.

Taking to Facebook to appeal for anyone who knows the whereabouts of her ring to come forward to her or the police, Lusea wrote: 'This ring meant the world to me.

'I had designed this ring, and I loved it so very much. As a result, I was a heart broken bride and was reduced to tears on my special day,' she added.

Appealing for help from friends, Lusea added: 'I'm begging the universe that if they know of its whereabouts or if they saw anything strange in Symondsbury on the 2nd, please could they let me know or the police. Thank you for reading this, lots of love lusea xxxx'

Since posting the message on Friday, Lusea's plea has been shared over 1,800 times across the UK, with well-wishers sharing messages of love and support for the pair.

'Putting positive karma out there for someone to spot this and let you know that they have it,' wrote one user.

'I'm so sorry to hear this, sometimes cruel things happen to make us stronger!' added another.

Please share Lusea's post and help her find the bespoke engagement ring.
