Taylor Swift has taken to the witness stand for the first time in her lawsuit against a radio host who she alleges groped her at a meet-and-greet in 2013.

Yesterday, the 27-year-old gave her testimony on the third day of the court case in Denver Colorado and described the moment DJ David Mueller allegedly grabbed her during a photo opportunity.

'He grabbed my ass underneath my skirt,' she told the court, according to CNN.

'He stayed attached to my bare ass cheek as I lurched away from him,' she explained before admitting she 'got as far away from him as I possibly could'.

'It was a definite grab. A very long grab,' she added.

Speaking with confidence, the singer rejected Mueller's claim their interaction was 'jostling' for a photo and denied the possibility she had misidentified Mueller.

'This is what happened, it happened to me, I know it was him,' said Swift, who was 23-years-old at the time of the incident.

'I'm not going to allow you or your client to make me feel in any way that this is my fault, because it isn't,' she said, referring to Mueller's subsequent firing from radio station KYGO after his employers were informed of the alleged assault by Swift's management team.

'I am being blamed for the unfortunate events of his life that are a product of his decisions and not mine,' Swift added later.

Swift revealed her security guard, Greg Dent, witnessed Mueller lift her skirt at the event, but that no one could see him touch her beneath the skirt because their backs were to the wall.

When shown a photo of the meet and greet between her, Mueller and his then-girlfriend Shannon Melcher by one of David Mueller's attorneys, Swift firmly stated: 'This is a photo of him with his hand up my skirt - with his hand on my ass.

'You can ask me a million questions -- I'm never going to say anything different. I never have said anything different,' she revealed.

Swift's testimony comes a day after her mother Andrea – who gave her version of events to the court earlier this week – said she felt sick after her daughter informed her of what allegedly took place between her and Mueller.

She revealed: 'She couldn't believe that after he grabbed her, that she thanked them for being there. It was just destroying her that she said that…as a parent it made me question why I taught her to be so polite in that moment.'

'I wanted to vomit and cry at the same time,' Andrea Swift said.

In response to Taylor's testimony, her fans have taken to Twitter to show their support for the star:
