Whether it's her red carpet fashion, show-stopping performances or inspiring political statements, it's safe to say Lady Gaga isn't afraid of surprising her fans with her creativity, emotion and displaying both power and fragility.

However, her latest creative project might be her most honest and surprising yet.

This morning the 'Paparazzi' singer took to Instagram to share several video teasers for her up-coming documentary titled Gaga: Five Foot Two, among artistic photos depicting the singer in peach, yellow and green hues.

In one clip, Gaga – whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – is submerged in water while her tearful voice plays over the video in which she talks about how it feels to be alone when the fans have gone.

'I'm alone, Brandon [presumed to be stylist Brandon Maxwell], every night. All these people will leave, right? They will leave. And then I'll be alone. I go from everyone touching me all day and talking at me all day, to total silence,' she sobs during the clip.

Another is a throwback video to Gaga's epic performance at the 2017 Super Bowl, while a third shows her in a doctor's office where she is sitting in a medical gown awaiting to be injected.

The final video contains the singer's voice talking about the film, revealing she can't watch the documentary and not be 'objective about herself'.

Gaga's documentary will air on HBO on 22 September and it looks like it's going to be seriously emotional.
