Following the news that Beyoncé, Drake and Kim Kardashian were donating money and working with their own philanthropic organisations to lead relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey, it's just been revealed that Sandra Bullock has pledged a whopping $1 million (£773,000) to the Red Cross relief effort to aid victims of the devastating natural disaster.
People reports the Oscar-winner - who has a home near Austin, Texas, just 146 miles away from Houston- is asking people to come together to help everyone affected by the floods, regardless of political affiliations.
'There are no politics in eight feet of water,' the star said, according to the publication. 'There are human beings in eight feet of water.'
Talking about her generous donation, the actress added: 'I'm just grateful I can do it. We all have to do our part.'
The Guardian reports at least 18 people have been confirmed dead as flooding continues to devastate Texas, with more than 13,000 people reported to have been rescued by local and federal agencies.
Harvey has set a record for rainfall in the continental US, according to the National Weather Service with the storm pouring 51.88 inches of rain into Cedar Bayou, Texas.
In recent days, the likes of Ruby Rose, the Kardashian family, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Antonoff have all pledged money to various organisations assisting the relief efforts, with some even promising to match the public's donations.
