Awkward run-ins with the postman normally involve being dressed in a bath towel, sporting a just-got-out-of-bed grumpy face, or holding back the dog from biting the package right out of the delivery man's hand.

Rarely, and when we say 'rarely' we mean never, have we experienced the moment a postman has refused to believe we're not the person that corresponds to the name on a package or letter.

One reason might be because we're not Madonna, who just informed the world via Twitter on Tuesday that she was having some serious issues receiving a FedEx package. Why? The postal company refused to believe she was the Queen of Pop.

Last night, she tweeted a glum-looking photo of herself with the caption: 'When you've been arguing with FedEx all week that you really are Madonna and they still won't release your package. #bitchplease'

Later, she took to Instagram to explain she was continuing her delivery battle with customs in her new home of Lisbon, Portugal.

Fortunately for the star, waiting around for the postman all week has given her ample opportunity to take some selfies.

Of course, as with all online complaints via Twitter, the company in question later responded, with a FedEx Help account replying to Madge's tweet to say they were on hand to help.

Unfortunately for FedEx employee Julie, Twitter had a field day mocking her peppy attitude to the star's complaint.

Not too sure if Madonna has now received her package but, when you've reinvented yourself so much over the years, you can't exactly blame a postman for getting a little confused, Madonna.
