Elisabeth Moss has emerged, victorious, as the Queen of TV.

From Mad Men's Peggy, via Top of The Lake's Robin and The Handmaid's Tale Offred, each character Moss has blessed with her acting has been television gold.

So what is it that makes her so amazing?

Is it her role choice? Moss has been applauded for her quietly radical roles which defy traditional standards.

Her own disposition, which is so polar opposite to the characteristically tightly-wound roles she plays on screen, might also be a factor.

Apparently she was voted 'Class Clown' by the cast of Mad Men. 'I don't take acting that seriously,' she told the Guardian. 'I love my work, but I do not think that I am saving the world, and I do not think that I am doing anything brave by accessing emotions that I might have for roles. I am a Valley girl.'

But it could also be that Elisabeth Moss has never said 'no' to anything her character has been asked to do in the script.

She told NYLON magazine that she almost challenges people to come up with something she won't do, saying, 'I look forward to somebody trying to finally give me something that I'm like "No, that's too — I'm so sorry."'

So, is there truly nothing she wouldn't do? She's been bitten, sexually assaulted and dressed up in fat suit all in the name of art- does the woman have no limits?

Well, there is apparently one line she won't cross.

'I probably wouldn't necessarily torture an animal or something. I'd draw the line at that. That's my — as an animal lover, I think I would draw the line. But you never know!'

Moss, ever the badass?
