Even the decision to take an old plate down to the kitchen from our room takes a lot of brain power and effort, so imagine how impressed we were when we heard that new-mum Beyoncé just got some new ink and released a new single in a matter of days.

On Wednesday, the mother-of-three showed off her new tattoo in a montage of photos on Instagram, which appears to be a simple design of three dots on her ring finger.

While the singer left the photo without a caption, we have a feeling the dots may represent each one of her children: Blue, Rumi, and Sir.

The tat comes as a surprise to fans, following rumours that the 36-year-old might have tried to remove her matching Roman numeral IV inking that her and husband Jay-Z had on their respective ring fingers following their wedding in 2008.

However, on closer inspection, it would appear Queen Bey has revamped the inking by converting it into an amalgamation of the number four - the couple's favourite number - and a capital letter 'J', perhaps in ode to her rapper/producer hubby?

The inking comes amid the release of a new single featuring Beyoncé, courtesy of J Balvin and Willy Williams, to raise money for relief efforts following the earthquake in Mexico and Hurricanes Maria and Irma, earlier this month.

In a post to Instagram about the remix, titled 'Mi Gente', Beyonce - who speaks Spanish in the song - captioned the clip: 'I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands. To help go to Beyonce.com/reliefefforts.'

The charity songs comes weeks after Beyoncé donated a substantial amount of money to relief funds, teamed up with stars like George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, and Selena Gomez for a one-hour telethon fundraiser, and helped give out food in Houston with eldest daughter, Blue, to victims and families.

Meanwhile, Bey's husband is also stepping up to help those in need by throwing a Hurricane relief benefit concert with a whole host of performers including the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B - who just knocked Taylor Swift off the number one top spot on the charts, DJ Khaled and Fifth Harmony.

Rolling Stone reports the concert will be held at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn on 17 October.

Every little helps.
