Former Amazon chief Roy Price reportedly passed on Big Little Lies after asking whether its female stars would be doing nude scenes. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon was given a chance to pick up the Emmy-winning drama along with Showtime, Netflix and HBO, which ultimately got the show. When asked for comment by THR, Amazon and Price declined through spokespersons.

THR reports that according to company insiders, Price was overheard at a holiday party asking a group of staffers whether the show's stars and producers, Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, would 'show their tits,' and mused out loud about whether he would greenlight the show if not. In addition, Price reportedly only offered a development deal for the show, in contrast to other networks which all made straight-to-series offers.

Price stepped down from Amazon Studios earlier this week, following his suspension in the wake of a sexual harassment claim made against him by Isa Dick Hackett, an executive producer on Amazon's Man In The High Castle.

Big Little Lies went on to sweep this year's Emmy Awards, and was widely hailed for its nuanced female characters and unflinching depiction of domestic violence.
