Remember when pop icon Britney Spears writhed around in a rhinestone-covered catsuit that gave the illusion of full-fledged nudity in her 2003 video for 'Toxic'?

Or that time she looked like she was ready to compete in a slip-and-slide contest thanks to the layers of baby oil slathered all over her skin for her 2001 hit 'I'm a Slave 4 U'?

Well, get ready for a trip down memory lane, because Taylor Swift has paid sweet tribute to our Britters, by seemingly going completely nude for her latest music video.

This afternoon, the 27-year-old released the teaser trailer for her new music video, out on Thursday night, in which she can be seen in some kind of a warehouse, wearing a nude-coloured body suit with what appear to be markings over her muscles as if she's playing a robot come to life.

At one point, she even shows off her body in all its glory by walking to the camera - her wet-look hair cascading past her shoulders.

Swift's decision to 'bare all' is somewhat of a departure from her previous views on nudity, having previously revealed she has no inclination to go naked for her art.

'I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off,' she told Glamour in 2014. 'It's not an urge I have.'

She continued: 'For me, "risky" is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off.'

Elsewhere in the video, the singer can be seen spinning some type of an orb in the air, is surrounded by artificial intelligence, has electric bolts coming out of her fingertips, and smashes a wall of glass in slow-motion.

Long gone are the days of prom dresses and cowboy boots, ladies and gentlemen.

The old Taylor Swift really is 'dead'.

The clips comes days after her fans speculate the child's voice on her latest track, 'Gorgeous', might be that of Ryan Reynolds and her BFF Blake Lively's eldest daughter, James.

Welcome to Taylor 2.0.
