The super-fans of Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Beyoncé and more never miss a trick when it comes to hidden messages and secret meanings.

The Beyhive went to work figuring out baby names and due dates as soon as Beyoncé released those pregnancy announcement photos, whilst Swifties are already decoding her latest single teaser for '…Ready For It?'

Now Selenators are hard at work devising theories about her newest single 'Wolves'.

Following up from the songs of the summer 'Fetish' and 'Liar', the 25 year-old announced last week her next single is called 'Wolves' and is produced by DJ Marshmello.

Teasing us on her social media with snaps of her and the bucket-headed producer as well as a spooky visual.

And whilst some read the title and carried on our day thinking it was a reference to the canine species native to the wilderness and remote areas of Eurasia and North America (thanks Wikipedia), hardcore fans of the ex-Disney star were not so easily duped.

This summer, the Texan singer revealed she went through a kidney transplant. In 2013 she was diagnosed with the incurable, autoimmune disease Lupus.

For the Latin speakers or Harry Potter aficionados amongst you, you may have already made the link - the Wolf's species name is Canine Lupus.

Dun dun dunnnnnnn...

Her fans are already on it, sharing on social media their discoveries that her next song (out tomorrow) could be about her struggles with illness.

Those fans sure are smart.
