17th November 2017: A New Woman Has Come Forward Accusing Bush Of Groping Her in 1992

CNN has reported that another woman has come forward accusing former President of groping her during a group photograph.

The Michigan woman wants to remain anonymous, however, has provided a photograph of herself and her father either side of then-George H. W. Bush apparently during his campaign for re-election in April of 1992 to CNN.

She is the first woman to accuse Bush of sexual harassment whilst he was in office.

She told the news site, 'We got closer together for a family photo and it was like 'Holy crap!'' She described the alleged grope, 'like a gentle squeeze.'

The woman's ex-husband and friend corroborate that she described the incident to them as above in 1992.

Bush spokesman Jim McGrath declined to comment to CNN on this latest allegation.

14th November 2017: Woman Claims Bush Groped Her When She Was 16

Another woman has come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against former President George H.W.Bush. Unlike the two previous allegations, she was not an actress posing for a cast photo, nor was the President in a wheelchair.

Roslyn Corrigan told TIME magazine that she met the then 79 year-old in 2003 at The Woodland, Texas. Corrigan, then 16, posed for a photograph with the former President and her mother and claims he then groped her.

She explained to TIME magazine:

As soon as the picture was being snapped on the one-two-three he dropped his hands from my waist down to my buttocks and gave it a nice, ripe squeeze, which would account for the fact that in the photograph my mouth is hanging wide open.

She explained her, 'initial reaction was absolute horror. I was really, really confused.' Though she did immediately tell her mother who has also confirmed she recalls the event.

Corrigan added, 'I was a child.'

Bush's spokesperson Jim McGrath told the magazine that, 'George Bush simply does not have it in his heart to knowingly cause anyone harm or distress, and he again apologises to anyone he may have offended during a photo op.'

Aside from Corrigan, Grolnick and Lind, Christina Baker Kilne, Amanda Staples and Liz Allen have also accused the President of groping them at various photo opportunities.

Bush'd spokesperson declined a separate request from TIME regarding these allegations, 'which they said occurred when the former president was standing up.'

26th October 2017: Another Actress Comes Forward With A Similar Story To Lind

According to Deadline another actress, named Jordana Grolnick, has accused the former President of a very similar incident to Heather Lind's.

In a post-show photograph with the cast of her play in 2016, she claims George H. W. Bush groped her backside.

She explains, 'We all circled around him and Barbara for a photo, and I was right next to him. He reached his right hand around to my behind, and as we smiled for the photo he asked the group, 'Do you want to know who my favourite magician is?' As I felt his hand dig into my flesh, he said, 'David Cop-a-Feel!''

At least two other women on Twitter have referenced Bush as saying this joke:

Grolnick did not consider this act particularly alarming and largely laughed it off - though did tell femily and friends. However, since then she has seen the incident in a different light.

She stated:

Now that the #metoo movement has brought this all to light, I think I should have been a little more alarmed to be touched so inappropriately by a man who was once the leader of the free world. He knows the power he has, and the reverence he deserves, even while sitting perhaps somewhat senile in a wheelchair ... I realise that making light of the situation was the wrong move. It wasn't ok for him to do that to me. He wasn't able to give me a job or a movie deal, so I didn't feel compromised or pressured to do anything more, but the comments and assumptions about our bodies must stop, at all levels.

Jim McGrath provided the following statement:

At age 93, President Bush has been confined to a wheelchair for roughly five years, so his arm falls on the lower waist of people with whom he takes pictures. To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke — and on occasion, he has patted women's rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner. Some have seen it as innocent; others clearly view it as inappropriate. To anyone he has offended, President Bush apologises most sincerely.

25th October 2017: Actress Heather Lind accuses former President George H. W. Bush of groping her at a photo call on Instagram and then removes post

The #MeToo movement, reinvigorated last week as further Harvey Weinstein allegations came to light, is still in full swing.

Actresses, like Lupita Nyong'o, are still emerging with Weinstein accusations, and others, such as Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon, are coming forward with non-Weinstein related stories.

The latest celebrity to come forward with her own tale of sexual misconduct is actress Heather Lind, best-known for her work on the show Turn: Washington Spies.

Whilst promoting the show four years ago, the actress met with former President George H. W. Bush, as well as his wife, Barbara Bush. She was photographed with him and the rest of her cast mates at the time.

On Tuesday, however, Lind alleged that during this photo call, Bush sexually assaulted her.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, according to the Evening Standard, Lind wrote of how she was moved to reveal an incident that happened with her and the formerPresident:

I was disturbed today by a photo I saw of President Barack Obama shaking hands with George H. W. Bush in a gathering of ex-presidents organising aid to states and territories damaged by recent hurricanes. I found it disturbing because I recognise the respect ex-presidents are given for having served. And I feel pride and reverence toward many of the men in the photo. But when I got the chance to meet George H. W. Bush four years ago to promote a historical television show I was working on, he sexually assaulted me while I was posing for a similar photo.

Lind, 34, then explained the alleged assault:

He didn't shake my hand. He touched me from behind from his wheelchair with his wife Barbara Bush by his side. He told me a dirty joke. And then, all the while being photographed, touched me again. Barbara rolled her eyes as if to say 'not again'. His security guard told me I shouldn't have stood next to him for the photo.

She went on to discuss in the lengthy caption how she believed Bush was abusing his power:

We were instructed to call him Mr. President. It seems to me a President's power is in his or her capacity to enact positive change, actually help people, and serve as a symbol of our democracy. He relinquished that power when he used it against me and, judging from the comments of those around him, countless other women before me.

And concluded speaking of how her cast mates helped her:

What comforts me is that I too can use my power, which isn't so different from a President really. I can enact positive change. I can actually help people. I can be a symbol of my democracy. I can refuse to call him President, and call out other abuses of power when I see them. I can vote for a President, in part, by the nature of his or her character, knowing that his or her political decisions must necessarily stem from that character. My fellow cast-mates and producers helped me that day and continue to support me. I am grateful for the bravery of other women who have spoken up and written about their experiences. And I thank President Barack Obama for the gesture of respect he made toward George H. W. Bush for the sake of our country, but I do not respect him. #metoo

In a statement to Daily Mail the former president responded, 'President Bush would never - under any circumstance - intentionally cause anyone distress, and he most sincerely apologises if his attempt at humour offended Ms. Lind.'

Lind has since pulled the post down, but Twitter, as well as her comments section on other photos, are rife with debate surrounding the accusation.

Many people are claiming that she should not have said anything due to Bush's age (he is now 93). He also suffers from Parkinson's Disease and is wheelchair-bound. Whilst others are claiming that the actress is attempting to seek undue attention.

Others, however, have pointed out that his age or current illness is irrelevant, and that groping should not be tolerated, as well as condemning those attacking Lind, since this kind of trolling might stop other women from coming forward.
