A quick watch of Taylor Swift's music video 'Look What You Made Me Do' and you'll see a whole bunch of Swift-lookalikes - 15 in fact - wearing the 27-year-old's most iconic fashion over the years and scrambling to the top of a 'Taylor Tower'.

Just your average Friday night out, right?

And while the makers of the video no doubt used countless hours of green screens, CGI and scouting body-doubles to form Taylor's 'army of Swifts', they should have just hired the singer's real-life dopplegänger, Laura Cadman, to do the hard work, instead.

Oh, and did we mention Swift's 'twin' is British?

Looking at the star's history of romances - including the likes of British stars Tom Hiddleston, Harry Styles and Joe Alwyn - we have a feeling she'd get on with Cadman like a house on fire.

Just look at how similar they look!

Swift's dopplegänger is a 20-year-old from Newcastle and has countless number of similarities - both in looks and loves - with the Grammy-award winner, including an obsession of cats, red lipstick and an eyeliner flick.

In a recent interview with the Mirror, the student revealed she regularly gets stopped in the street by 'Swifties' who mistake her for the Nashville star.

'So many people approached me and asked for pictures…. I took pictures with a bunch of people and they were so cute,' she described of the moment she attended the singer's 1989 World Tour in 2015.

However, not all her interactions with Swift's fans have been positive, with one fan reportedly calling her out for her lookalike appearance.

'She said she hated me because she thought I was Taylor, then heard me talk and realised I wasn't her,' Cadman said.

'She said that I shouldn't do that because it was tricking people, but this confused me because everyone at the concert was dressed up as Tay.'

Despite their uncanny resemblance, Cadman admits she doesn't intentionally try to look like the star.

'Nothing prompted me to have this look. I am naturally blond, reasonably tall, and reasonably slim,' she said.

'The rest of my "Taylor Swift look" just consists of classic red lipstick and eyeliner, which I personally think is the most flattering makeup on me.'

We have officially entered the Twilight Zone, people.
