The same day Taylor Swift released her hotly-anticipated music video for 'Look What You Made Me Do', the singer's BFF Ed Sheeran weighed in on her relationship with British boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn.

During an interview on Capital London's Breakfast Show yesterday, the 'Shape of You' gave his thumbs up on Alwyn, saying: 'He's really nice. Really, really friendly, really good dude.

Following on from her high-profile romances with the likes of fellow British stars, DJ Calvin Harris and actor Tom Hiddleston, Ed said he's happy to see his friend loved up.

'They are very much in love, they have quite a low-key relationship, which Taylor likes.

'It's very normal, and no one really knows about it right now. They just work out, watch movies together and invite friends over.

'Taylor loves to cook and bake for him. They are still taking it slow,' he said.

Ed and Taylor have been friends for years, celebrating the Fourth of July at the 27-year-old's Rhode Island house last year and working on Taylor's 2012 hit together, 'Everything Has Changed'.

Last night, the Nashville star released her long-awaited video, in which she stars as a 'naked' cyborg version of herself who destroys her former self (remember, the old Taylor is dead, right?) and is reborn.

The star, who recently filmed her up-coming music video in Alwyn's hometown of London, also made reference to the star of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk in her newly released video.

At one point in the clip, Swift stands against a wall which is spray-painted with he number 89 and 91 - the years her and Alwyn were born.

If that's not a declaration of love, we don't know what is.
