You probably don't follow N.E.R.D. on Instagram. Why would you? They've been off the radar for nearly a decade (nope, the SpongeBob Movie soundtrack doesn't count).

But eagle-eyed fans spotted nine all-black pictures posted to their account back in August, which faintly spell out N.E.R.D. And after mysterious posters began popping up around Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw Festival that read 'No_one Ever Really Dies' - the acronym hinting at N.E.R.D's moniker - earlier this month, it seemed even more likely the masterful trio (made up of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shae Haley) were making a comeback.

And then Pharrell gave fans a heads up that something's on the way. Well, sort of. He asked everyone to tune into Beats 1 today.

So the mystery is over: the band are back, and have brought the literal Queen of pop music along for the ride.

N.E.R.D.'s comeback single is called 'Lemon' and is all-kinds of 'She Wants To Move' catchy. Watch Rihanna shave a girl's head before she disappears and said girl prances around for three minutes covered in glitter.
