Yesterday, Meghan Markle was welcomed with open arms (well, largely) by the British public as Prince Harry's wife-to -be.

The outspoken American was a breath of fresh air in her BBC interview last night with fiancé Harry.

As a face many of us already recognise, there is little doubt Markle is set to become a powerful part of the modern Royal family, already working hard in her philanthropic pursuits, and both vocal and passionate about personal identity and wellbeing.

However, the internet has unearthed a video from the summer 2016. A video filmed in London in July, the same month she met her Prince.

The video is a promo quiz for Suits on the TV channel Dave, which sees the actress answer questions about Britishness.

She is asked about real ales, British places, cockney rhyming slang, the national animals of England, Scotland and Wales and Americanisms.

She, well, she didn't pass with flying colours, that's for sure.

At the time the Mail, Hello! and The Sun all picked up the epic fail.

But, thankfully Harry didn't seem to mind (and we don't either).
