28/11/18: Melania Trump Decorates The White House Like A Nightmare, Take Two

A year after First Lady Melania Trump opted for a, shall we say, muted Christmas decor palette, the mother-of-one has put her 'festive' White House decorations up once more.

Last year, the anti-bullying campaigner was unfortunately mocked for her bare and modern take on the holiday ornaments, and this year she's going through it all over again.

The Slovenian-American former model opted this time for a deep red, reminiscent of Father Christmas' coat...or blood, depending on how you look at it.

Where last time she had the ghosts of trees, this year sit conical mounds of red, and to add insult to creepy injury, she posted pictures of herself 'decorating' while wearing oxblood, leather gloves.

Obviously the internet has jumped on the opportunity to mock Trump one more, saying that the Presidential home looks creepy AF.

Oh Melania, you make it too easy for them.

28/11/17: Melania Trump Just Decorated The White House Like A Nightmare And The Internet Is Responding Accordingly

Poor ol' Melania Trump can't move for internet jabs. Firstly, people are saying she has a body double, then they said she didn't want to be First Lady. So rude (and a bit funny).

The First Lady did a stellar job at overseeing this year's White House Christmas Decorations and, in fact, if you ask us, we think they're kind of cool.

This year's theme is decidedly understated and stylish, avoiding tacky details and keeping the palette muted.

White branches line the halls, whilst all of the Christmas trees are frosted as though after snowfall.

One could also suggest, however, that the gaudy golds, greens and reds many of us associate with the festive season, are a bit more friendly. And that opting for a more minimalist style looks kind of terrifying.

And when we say 'one could suggest,' what we mean is that the internet pounced on this notion like a pack of rabid dogs, photoshopping characters from horror films into her hallway.

Changing the music from the promotional video to the theme of Halloween.

Suggesting she had a bit of a White Witch vibe from The Chronicles of Narnia's The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe.

And just generally taking the p*** out of those trees.

And if this wasn't enough, everyone also had a dig at the manner in which she watched ballerinas dance in front of her.

She's just one woman people, and you know she did not bargain for this gig.
