With a permanent house move to London scheduled in the New Year, Meghan Markle has officially put up her Toronto townhouse for sale following her royal engagement to Prince Harry last month.

According to the Globe and Mail, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom burgundy-coloured home on Yarmouth Road is situated in the 'upper-middle class' neighbourhood of Seaton Village and costs a whopping $1,395,000 (£815,517).

So, if you haven't thought of what to ask your loved ones for Christmas…

However, Jennifer Hunter, head of the Seaton Village Residents Association reportedly revealed that Markle's neighbours were becoming increasingly more annoyed with the intrusion of privacy in their local streets as result of the star's high profile romance with the prince.

'People were getting super irritated with the paparazzi, not because of idling cars, because they felt she deserved privacy,' Hunter told the publication.

The listing for the house - which was actually being rented by Markle during her stint filming of Suits - has already garnered a lot of interest since it went online on Thursday.

'It's special because it's a detached with a detached garage in a family neighbourhood,' commented Alex Beauregard, a sales associate with Freeman Real Estate Brokerage.

'There are no traces of royalty in the house, except that it's a very fine residence... she had good taste,' added Daniel Freeman, a broker with Freeman Real Estate.

'It was private and had lovely amenities. Seaton Village is a haven of safety family, inclusiveness and community.'

'It's a nice thought to think, wow, Prince Harry used this toilet.'

With plans to move into Kensington Palace with her husband-to-be ahead of their nuptials next year, we can't wait to see Markle add her interior design prowess to the royal abode.
