As we all know, compromises have to be made in every relationship.

And for newly-engaged couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, it seems the trials and tribulations of modern courting are no different.

Having managed a long-distance relationship for over a year - jetting between Toronto and London and making the time to see each other every two weeks - Meghan Markle has made the bold decision to give up her life as an actress and move to the UK, permanently.

The 36-year-old has also closed down her lifestyle blog, The Tig, is set to change her citizenship, and has given up Instagram.

But, the question on everyone's lips is what has Prince Harry had to give up for his leading lady?

Well, the Mail on Sunday reports the 33-year-old has decided to given up smoking for his fiancé.

The publication reports smoking is officially banned at the palace - and at Nottingham Cottage, Kensington Palace where the newlyweds will live - but the prince has been known to 'relax the rules' on occasions.

However, having finally decided to settle down, a source has revealed the newly engaged prince has ditched the habit for good.

'Harry has promised no smoking at all at home. It's not nice for Meghan as a non-smoker. So there's no more hanging out of the window for a quick puff. Harry has quit for Meghan,' they explained.

Ahead of her move to London, The Sun reported that Markle - who is currently enjoying spending time with friends and family before her move across the pond - has struck up an unlikely friendship with fashion designer Victoria Beckham due to their mutual love of beauty.

'Meghan has been really pleased with Victoria's beauty recommendations and has her to thank for meeting new friends in London,' a source told the newspaper.

It looks like Meghan is already making her mark on London.
