Harvey Weinstein and his wife Georgina Chapman have reportedly reached a divorce settlement, three months after the Marchesa designer confirmed their separation.
The film producer will pay Chapman a divorce agreement worth an estimated $15 to 20 million (£11-15 million), sources told Page Six. Chapman will also get primary custody of their two children, ages 7 and 4, the sources added.
It's believed the former couple agreed the deal at the end of last year, and after negotiations 'nearly collapsed', paperwork is due to be filed in court in the near future, Page Six notes.
The settlement figure is larger than expected.
According to the details behind the couple's prenuptial agreement, published by TMZ last year, Chapman was set to receive $300,000 (£220,000) annually in spousal support for their first nine years of marriage.
After that, the number increased to $400,000 (£293,000), although neither party confirmed these figures. Chapman was also due to get a share of their marital assets and a 'house allowance', the publication reported, amounting to $11.75 million (£8.6 million).
Weinstein's total net worth is estimated to be more than $240 million (£176 million) while Chapman reportedly has a net worth of $20 million (£15 million).
Announcing their separation in October last year, Chapman told People: 'My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.'
