'Will they won't they?'

With six seasons, two films and it's very own fashion Instagram account attached to the groundbreaking and imperfect SATC, Kim Cattrall believes time should be up on Miranda, Charlotte, Carrie and her own character, Samantha's, journey through life.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, the Canadian-English actress explained that she and the rest of the cast members, Cynthia Nixon, Kristen Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker, were never really friends and she had drifted further away from them after they closed filming.

She claimed that there was a 'toxic relationship' between them, and that SJP 'could have been nicer' about the situation.

As for the role, she explained, 'I played it past the finish line and then some and I loved it and another actress should play it. Maybe they could make it an African-American Samantha Jones or a Hispanic Samantha Jones, or bring in another character.'

Last night, SJP herself put her two cents in on Stephen Colbert's late night talk show.

When the veteran host asked her about he possibility of a third film instalment and whether he could be in it, Parker joked, 'Well, there's an opening.'

She continued: 'Well, according to very recent documentation of why we're not making it is because the part usually played by Kim Cattrall has been vacated.'

'Perhaps you want to play Samantha?'

The style icon was obviously joking, but we couldn't help but wonder, who could possibly fill the shoes of the glorious Kim Cattrall?
