Yesterday, Monday 15 January, marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day - a day when the civil rights activist would have celebrated his 89th birthday, had it not been for his untimely death five decades ago.

Celebrating his life, his innumerable contributions to the advancement of civil rights across the world using the tactics of nonviolence, his Nobel Peace Prize and 1963 March in Washington (where he delivered his famous 'I Have a Dream' aged just 39), celebrities across the world have paid tribute to the social activist who made his mark on the world.
