Yesterday, a group of Ohio high school students got the treat of their lives (so far) when Academy Awards winner Jennifer Lawrence visited their school.

Yesterday morning the actress surprised the juniors in Cleveland, with a political pep talk.

Cleveland Heights High School reported on their website that the 27 year-old joined Represent.US to discuss democracy. Represent.US is a non-partisan grassroots anti-corruption organisation.

The website says that thirty students 'participated in the discussion and lively dialogue about fixing democracy.' To be honest, our school discussion might have been more lively if an X-Men star was present.

A senior at the school, called Londyn Crenshaw, said he was impressed by Lawrence, and thought her involvement in their discussion was a useful one. He said, 'It was really amazing how informed Ms. Lawrence is about politics.'

Apparently, having someone so young and popular talk about politics was effective too, he explained, 'It makes a big difference when people who are just 10 years older than us come to talk about political issues. When she said "this is your time," that really made me think. I have been involved in my community and will continue to be involved in grassroots activism because it's important.'

Lawrence has been vocal about her political beliefs for years now, supporting institutions such as Planned Parenthood, equal rights including same-sex marriage and strongly opposing Donald Trump's Presidency.

She told The Hollywood Reporter in December that if she met him, she had a speech planned, 'I've got a pretty good speech. And it ends with a martini to the fact.'

She also is an active philanthropist, with her own foundation, as well as being a part of the Time's Up initiative.

After visiting the school, the 27-year-old dropped by a local restaurant and posed for photos with fans.

Could we love her more? Probs not.
