While it's rumoured that Meghan Markle plans to break with royal tradition by giving a speech at her wedding in May, the former Suits actress will be keeping up one bridal custom, at least.

In keeping with royal custom, the 36-year-old will spend the night before her wedding apart from her fiancé Prince Harry.

And while it's likely she won't venture too far away from her wedding venue, St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, she has the choice of several places to stay to help her get royal ready on the morning of her nuptials.

Here's where the bride-to-be might spend her last night as a bachelorette:

Windsor Castle

The Queen has several private apartments at Windsor Castle and it remains a fond venue for the royal family. The Queen Mother is buried at the Grade 1-listed castle with her husband, King George VI, and daughter Princess Margaret and it's a place where the Queen spends most of her weekends.

If Markle decides to spend the night before her wedding there, she'll be following the likes of Autumn Phillips, who stayed at the castle the night before her wedding to Harry's cousin, Peter Phillips, in 2008.

It also helps the accommodation is but a stone's throw away from the chapel.

For her royal wedding in 2011, Kate Middleton stayed at The Goring Hotel in Belgravia which was just a ten-minute drive to the venue, Westminster Abbey.

Frogmore House

The 17th-century English country house is of special meaning to the royal couple.

In November, Meghan and Harry had their official engagement photos taken in the grounds of the white house, which is often used by the royal family for private and official functions.

Located a mile south of Windsor Castle in Windsor Home Park, Frogmore House has been a Royal Residence since 1792.

The Royal website reports the house is decorated in varied styles, with Queen Mary having decorated on room in wax and silk florals, and another with black papier-mache furniture.

In the grounds of the house lies a summerhouse, a teahouse made for Queen Victoria, the Mausoleum of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, winding lakes, and bridges.

Royal Lodge

Set on 40 hectares within Windsor Great Park, Royal Lodge has been the official residence of Prince Andrew, The Duke of York since 2004.

However, it is perhaps best known as the residence of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who lived there for over 70 years until her death in 2002.

In 1999, Sophie Wessex and her family spent the night here before her wedding to Prince Edward.

Within the grounds is a small cottage, Y Bwthyn Bach, which was a gift to the then Princess Elizabeth in 1932 from the people of Wales and let's just say, it's utterly adorable.

However, while the close proximity of the lodge to the Castle is perfect for Markle's wedding, it's unlikely Prince Andrew will be willing to offer up his home to Markle for her big day.

After all, Andrew's daughter Princess Eugenie is marrying at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle this autumn, too, so she may call first dibs.

Our bet is on Frogmore House, what do you think?
