8th February 2018: Does Zayn Malik's Latest Poem Dig At Donald Trump?

Zayn Malik has been gifting us with beautiful Zoems (his word, not ours) over the last two weeks.

Using his Instagram the ex-One Directioner has posted no less than 11 poems, complete with artwork, on his social media.

Thematically, they appear to often centre around disaffected emotions and a frustration towards preoccupation with the internet, fame and more.

In his most recent poem, however, the young pop-star also seems to be tackling climate change and one of it's most famed deniers (or at least skeptic) Donald Trump.

He writes: 'This man is one problem. How hard is it to solve it? I feel the summer heating up, still he denies global warming... Because the factories like furnaces are adorning his great mornings.'

An additional line in the poem also reads: 'Global leaders twitter feuding like the state of the race is some tiny school beef. One man talking ballistically about changing world order. We're just walking hand in hand like lambs to a slaughter.'

Subtle Zayn...subtle.

Obviously, his fans were here for it.

And we might be too.

31st January 2018: Zayn Malik's Poem 'Morning Zoem' Has Fans Calling Him The New Shakespeare

A style icon? Sure.

A musician? Yeah, go on.

One half of one of the most ridiculously good looking couples in the world? Most definitely.

But calling Zayn Malik the new William Shakespeare might be going that bit too far. Well, unless you are among the singer's most devout fans, that is.

Yesterday, the former One Direction singer had fans speculating the singer was stepping into the world of poetry, following a cryptic Instagram post of his morning 'zoem'.

And no, that's not a spelling mistake - Zayn has actually morphed the words 'zayn' and 'poem' together to create his own version of the spoken word.

The words in question accompanied an image of the 25-year-old singer appearing to hold what looks to be a lightsaber.

The poem touches on subjects of emotions, acrobats, technophiles and role play.

In the poem's final lines Zayn wrote: 'I think we like pretending as if our fun is never ending. No one speaks, just messages sending. It's a silent planet — wait it's pending.'

As a result, Malik's poem has his fans in a whirlwind of emotions.

'So deep and confronting yet so true,' commented one fan on Instagram. 'Wow,truly wow,' added another.

Wow, indeed.

Our favourite fan post? 'So zoetic'

A few followers speculated the poem suggests Malik is making new music and this post may be lyrics to a new song. The rumours come amid rumours he's recently collaborated with Selena Gomez on a new single for the 2019 live action remake of Aladdin.

After all, in September 2017 the Bradford-born crooner revealed he was working on a second album.

Later that day, the British star was spotted leaving a New York City studio carrying a toy lightsaber from the Star Wars films.

However, this isn't the first time Zayn has shown an interest in the fictional weapon.

In 2016, the singer got a tattoo depicting a lightsaber on the middle finger of his hand, which glows when placed under a blacklight.

May the force be with you, Zayn.
