A week after Kim Cattrall announced the unexpected death of her brother, the SATC star has lashed out at Sarah Jessica Parker, branding her 'cruel' and a 'hypocrite'.

This afternoon, the Sex And The City actress took to Instagram to tell her former co-star that she 'doesn't need her love or support at this tragic time'.

The 61-year-old star began the caption of the post: 'My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?

'Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now, 'Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven't already) You are not my family.

'You are not my friend. So I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your "nice girl" persona.'

The British-born actress included a link to a New York Post article from October 2017 about the rumoured on-going feud between the four stars of the hit '90s HBO show.

On Sunday, Cattrall posted an Instagram post announcing the untimely death of her 55-year-old brother.

After learning news of Cattrall's loss, Parker commented: Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx'

Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes on the show, also commented on the post, saying: 'Hey Kim such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO.'

Kim thanked Cynthia for getting in touch, saying: 'Cynthia, hearing your voice meant so much to me. Thank you for reaching out. Love Kim #SexandtheCity.'

In an interview with Piers Morgan, Cattrall previously opened up about the 'toxic relationship' between her co-stars, adding that SJP 'could have been nicer' when they finished filming the show.

Last month, Parker offered up Cattrall's SATC character, Samantha, to presenter Stephen Colbert on the off-chance the cast sign up for a third instalment of the series' film franchise.

When the veteran host asked her about he possibility of a third film instalment and whether he could be in it, Parker joked, 'Well, there's an opening.'

Ouch.
