In the lead up to the birth of Chicago West last month, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made it very clear they wanted to keep the identity of their surrogate anonymous.
However, given the couple's notoriety and millions of fans around the world who wait with baited breath for news on their daily activities, the likelihood of such secrecy was (unfortunately) going to be a long-shot.
Or, as the 36-year-old mother describes the leak about her surrogate - a complete 'sh*t show'.
In the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the reality star opens up about the moment she found out private information about her unnamed surrogate had been leaked by the press.
In the clip, Kim tells sister Khloé - who is also pregnant with her first child - that her surrogate was discovered by photographers after she went to visit a different doctor.
'It was just such a s**t show yesterday, and now it's everywhere,' she says, referring to news her surrogate was pregnant with her third child.
She then turns to her mother, Kris Jenner, and reveals 'TMZ just posted that my surrogate is pregnant'.
The social media mogul also claims the media had obtained information about the surrogate that not even she or Kanye knew, adding it 'weirded her out'.
In an on-camera interview, the star later explained: 'I really hope the speculation dies down and people don't dig more to try and get more info.
'I have signed up for this life, and I know how to handle it, but someone like her does not, and I would never want to put her in that situation.
'All I can do is just hope that these rumours just die down.'
News of Kim's unhappiness with her surrogate's pregnancy being revealed to the public comes months after she opened up about her struggles with not being able to carry her third baby.
In December, the celebrity revealed the family's decision to use a surrogate for their third child was a 'different process' than her first two pregnancies.
'The fact that this is just what we can do these days, I'm like really thankful.
'Like I'm seriously so grateful for her and that someone is just so like selfless and kind to do this. And I definitely want to keep it private. I don't want people to find my surrogate. Like I don't want them to harass her. Like she doesn't know how to handle stuff like that, this isn't her world,' she admitted.
Kim, who accidentally revealed she was expecting a girl on the Ellen Show, added that she was frustrated to be unable to carry her own child, third time round.
'It is frustrating like to not be able to do it on your own,' she continued.
'It is a weird dynamic. Like I go to all the doctor's appointments and I try to be really present, but when you're not carrying it yourself it is such a fine balance of how much you're going to be in their lives.
Kim and Kanye welcomed baby Chicago on 16 January. She reportedly arrived safely via surrogate and weighed a healthy 7lb 6oz.
Taking to her website to share her joy at welcoming another child, the Californian star wrote: 'The connection with our baby came instantly and it's as if she was with us the whole time. We are so excited to finally welcome home our baby girl.'
Chicago's arrival came weeks before Kylie Jenner gave birth to a baby girl called Stormi Webster with boyfriend Travis Scott.
