After announcing a week ago that she was 29 weeks pregnant, Khloe Kardashian has taken to her app to try and explain how she knew her current beau was the one.

Having had a whirlwind marriage that ended with her ex-husband Lamar Odum's near-death experience, 33 year-old Kardashian believes she has become somewhat better at spotting her soul mate.

The pregnant star has been with 26-year-old Tristan Thompson from roughly a year and a half but has revealed that she 'knew Tristan was the one very quickly' on her app.

In response to the question, 'How do you know that you've found 'the one'?' she replied that her answer, 'probably doesn't apply to everybody', but that it was an almost immediate notion that she had, 'never felt so comfortable or so safe with someone.'

Their almost instant connection was backed up with some rigorous getting-to-know time, she detailed, 'Because of that, I took it very slowly and was cautious about how I went about 'us.' I made sure we had very in-depth conversations. I wanted to make sure that those conversations were backed up by actions.'

The couple, who made their relationship Instagram official in October of 2016, were apparently very open with each other, and had plenty in common in terms of having the same religious views and wanting large families. (Thompson's ex-partner was around six months pregnant when Kardashian and himself got together.)

'Tristan was so forthcoming with his life, as I was with mine. It was really reassuring to feel that someone had the same belief systems as I did,' she continued. 'We shared the same principles and morals. We spoke about religion, children and our families. I think all of those things are important to truly know the ins and outs of someone. It's really easy to fall in love with someone during a honeymoon phase when you haven't yet discussed the logistics of life. But you have to talk about the real things if you want a real/long-lasting relationship.'

Though, if that sounds all-too sensible, the Good American brand founder added, 'That being said, you cannot fake the energy or chemistry that you have with someone. That means more to me than any conversation. But you need that foundation for when the honeymoon phase is over. You still must have respect and a mutual love for one another.'

Sounds like she has this all figured out.
