Don't be silly - these two like nothing more than to honour the day than with red leather clobber, a cake coated in glue, and jokes about dating website Ashley Madison.
Yesterday, Lively donned a bright red leather coat for Michael Kors' AW18 presentation during New York Fashion Week, days after revealing she'd lost over four stone in pregnancy weight.
With a leather belt wrapped around her slender waist and a crisp white shirt popping from underneath her collar, the mother-of-two matched her look with a red Louis Vuitton handbag and Christian Louboutin white heels with red hearts on the toe.
To commemorate the day of love, The Shallows star took to Instagram to joke about how 'extra' she is by wearing an all-red ensemble.
'If I'm this obnoxious at 30, you can only imagine how EXTRA I was on "spirit day" at school,' she captioned a snap of her Valentine's Day-inspired look.
That morning, her husband of five years Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to reveal he'd baked a heart-shaped cake - covered in glue - for the 30-year-old star.
'I baked this cake for my wife. The icing is glue, 'cause I'm not a scientist,' the Deadpool star joked in the photo's caption.
Later in the day, Blake took to social media to thank the other love in her life - Kors - for his constant support over the years.
Posting a photograph of herself on Instagram at Kors' show, Lively wrote: 'I ❤️ you @michaelkors 10 years ago you invited me to be your guest at a @voguemagazine dinner in NYC. You were literally the person who introduced me to the world of fashion in NYC. From that day on, I've been yours. Always. Forever.'
Following their romantic day, notoriously hilarious Reynolds posted a funny snap of himself at the gym, prompting Lively to jokingly flirt with the actor.
'Why won't this damn app swipe right?!?!!' she commented on the photo, suggesting she'd give Reynolds the thumbs up on Tinder.
I mean, who wouldn't?
She added: '@vancityreynolds can you show me how to download that? Ever since Ashley Madison closed I've been so lonely.'
Oh to be the jam spread between the Lively-Reynolds sandwich...
