Meghan Markle now has yet another role to prepare for this year, as well as becoming a member of the world's most famous family.

Kensington Palace announced on Thursday that following her wedding to Prince Harry in May, the 36-year-old will become the fourth patron of the Royal Foundation joining her soon-to-be husband and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Royal Foundation was set up in 2011 by Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry as a collective way of pursing their charitable interests. Under the Royal Foundation, so far, is mental health initiative Heads Together and The Invictus Games, which supports wounded and injured former soldiers through sport.

On Wednesday 28 February, Markle will join Harry, William and Kate to present the programmes and projects run by the Royal Foundation.

The last time the group appeared together was on Christmas Day when Markle joined the Royal Family, including the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, for a church visit in Sandringham.

Since Harry and Markle announced their engagement back in November, the former Suits actress has been getting into the swing of royal life, including meeting a number of charities and groups that the Prince backs such as a youth crime prevention organisation in Nottingham and a social enterprise tackling homelessness in Edinburgh.

Congratulations on the new role, Meghan!
