With another Jennifer Lawrence film right around the corner, we're rather excited. Red Sparrow promised to be a spy thriller with a twist and we can tell you - having had a sneak peek at an early screening - it delivers.
The best bit? We can also give you guys an exclusive look at the film.
In the film, Lawrence plays a fallen ballerina who is drafted against her will to join Russian intelligence and taught to get what she wants by using seduction- aka a 'Red Sparrow'.
As a sparrow she is put through humiliating training, which includes attempted rape and stripping before a class.
Lawrence explained that she used the filming of this scene to reclaim some of what was stolen from her when her private photographs were hacked in 2014 and when a female producer allegedly made her strip to encourage her to lose weight.
The film certainly was empowering, with Lawrence's character, Dominika Egorova, dominating almost every scene, despite the destitute position she has been put in. And whilst the thriller was very much a tale of personal struggle, it is also revels in its genre - with plenty of intrigue, tension, and lots of blood.
