Months after Jennifer Lawrence and director Darren Aronofsky called time on their relationship, the actress has opened up about her current relationship status and the matter of casual sex.

On Wednesday, the Red Sparrow actress spilt the beans on her personal and professional life on The Howard Stern Show, admitting that while she's currently not dating anyone, it's unlikely she'll be having casual sex either.

Following on from relationships with actor Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Lawrence revealed she's attracted to 'good people' but when it comes to one-night stands she's 'all bark and no bite'.

The Red Sparrow actress also delved into the early days of her career in Hollywood and the time she turned down the chance to become a Disney child star.

Early in her career, Lawrence said she met with the head of casting for Disney and recalled saying during the meeting: 'Can I just say and be honest, I don't think I'm a Disney kid.'

But with a trunk load of awards including an Oscar, Golden Globes and SAGs under her belt we don't think it's done the Kentucky-born actress any harm.

Of course, that hasn't stopped her from ruminating about the roles she's lost over the years.

When questioned about why she failed to land the part of Bella Swan in Twilight (the role later went to Kristen Stewart), she said: 'I didn't really know what it was.

'When you audition when you're like a run of the mill actor...you know we're all auditioning for all sorts of things, you just get like five pages and they're like, "Act monkey." When it came out I was like, "Hot damn! Woah!"'

Lawrence went onto share that she and BFF Emma Stone have spoken about their on-going competition for acting parts over the years.

'Emma Stone and I actually had this conversation once because we used to always audition for the same thing, which now seems silly because our careers are so different...she got one thing that I was dying for, but the one thing that really killed me, like the only time I've ever been truly devastated by losing an audition...was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland,' she revealed.

Earlier this week, the star opened up her relationship with Aronofsky on the Marc Maron podcast explaining that despite their split, she continues to think fondly of her ex.

'I still love him very much,' she admitted.
