Almost a month after revealing her friends had already planned her bachelorette party, it's now being rumoured the 36-year-old enjoyed a glamorous day of pampering with her friends over the weekend.

On Sunday, the bride-to-be celebrated an early bridal shower with friends at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire but had some noticeable absentees on her big day.

The Mirror reports the former actress' mother, Doria Ragland, remained in Los Angeles over the weekend, while her future sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge - who is pregnant with her third child - also stayed at home to rest.

However, Markle's BFF Markus Anderson – a consultant for the Soho House Group was on hand to help throw the intimate girly weekend for her star with a source telling E!: 'It's just a relaxing day of good food and pampering.'

A well-known fan of Soho Farmhouse having frequented the five-star spa resort with former Made In Chelsea star and gym buddy Millie Mackintosh, Meghan enjoyed the trip with US fashion designer Misha Nonoo and matchmaker Violet von Westenholz.

Despite her mother's absence from the festivities, the Daily Mail reports the Suits star is yet to celebrate her main hen do until her close families and friend fly over to the UK ahead of her baptism into the Church of England.

A royal source told the publication: 'The hen do won't be until Meghan's mother, Doria Radlan, and her best friend, Jessica Mulroney, fly over for the church service where she will be baptised and confirmed into the Church of England.

'The hen party will be held around the same time. Meghan wants Jessica and her mum to be there. The spa visit was just a trip with a few friends.'

The service, to be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and held at Kensington Palace's 19th-century chapel, is expected to take place any day now.

The news comes weeks after Markle let slip that her hen do was 'sorted' and was sure to be a whole load of 'fun' during her first official visit to Scotland.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry admitted he was being kept in the dark about his stag do, adding: 'I'm sure William's got something up his sleeve.'

Why have one hen do when you can have two, right Megs?
