Last night, Taylor Swift sent fans into meltdown when she released the music video for her latest single 'Delicate' after winning big at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

In the Spike Jonze-inspired video, the 27-year-old can be seen dancing barefoot in the subway and the rain and is thought to have paid tribute to her British boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

The video - which debuted at Sunday night's ceremony in Los Angeles where the singer picked up Female Artist of the Year - sees the Nashville-born star dance in front of a sign that reads 'Joes' Deli'.

She also references her relationship at the beginning of the song as she sings: 'This ain't for the best / My reputation's never been worse, so / You must like me for me.'

It's widely believed she references the actor's eye colour, singing: 'Oh damn, never seen that colour blue.'

Swift's fans have since described the song as the 'most romantic thing ever', following several videos in which the star has referenced her previous relationships with high-profile men.

For example, in 'Getaway Car' the singer referenced her short-lived fling with Tom Hiddleston, implying she knew their romance wouldn't work out.

In 'Forever And Always', the singer called out Joe Jonas for breaking up with her in a brief phone call during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Elsewhere, in 'Dear John', Taylor shaded John Mayer and sang: 'You paint me a blue sky / And go back and turn it to rain / And I lived in your chess game / But you changed the rules everyday.'

And, who can forget the gold necklace in the singer"s 'Look What you Made Me Do' video which had fans speculating is supposed to look like the one ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris gave Taylor on their one-year anniversary?

Swift's video is similar to that of the 2016 Kenzo World advert starring actress Margaret Qualley, directed by Spike Jonze.

'Delicate' is somewhat of a positive turn for the singer, following the death of Taylor in 'Look What You Made Me Do' and the dark moody tones of '…Ready For It?'.

Welcome back, Tay-Tay.
