Remember when we recently had to contain our laughter at the news First Lady Melania Trump was launching a cyberbullying project, given the fact her husband is well-versed in spewing online hate?

Well, if you thought Melania has her head in the clouds when it comes to knowing our/your eye-rolling at her project, you can think again.

During a White House tech summit about her project on Tuesday afternoon, the First Lady addressed criticism of her scheme, head on.

'I'm well aware that people are skeptical of me discussing this topic,' she told leaders in the tech industry.

'I have been criticised for my commitment to tackling this issue and I know that will continue.'

Actually, we'd like to point out that any criticism has been, in large, due to the fact Melania is married to a man who Tweets misogynistic, racist, insensitive and downright offensive tweets, not of her commitment.

Despite criticism of her project, the First Lady continued: 'It will not stop me from doing from way I know is right. I'm here with one goal: helping children and our next generation.'

Last month, Melania called for 'positive habits on social media', during a luncheon for governor's spouses which promoted several Twitter users to point out her words are somewhat contradictory to her husband's social media antics.

Before Trump was elected in November 2016, Melania hinted that cyberbullying would be one of her top priorities if her husband came to office.

Melania, we're all for combatting cyberbullying, but you might want to get your husband onboard with your mission, first.
