Retro Pony and Gold 'Mask'
Getty Images 'This was for the Dior Masquerade ball. I love doing a faux bang. Instead of doing an actual mask I wanted to do a makeup look. I love a gold pop. My dress was off-the-shoulder and black so it matched perfectly with the energy—it was more of an old-school vibe. That was one of my favourite looks. I love a cat eye; I feel like it lifts my face.'
The Big Cut
Getty Images 'This was for the2017 Met Ball. I shot a cover and I wasn't allowed to show my hair for the two weeks before it would come out, so I kept my hair in a beanie and in ponytails. [Here] was when I showed it off. That was a big cut for me.'
Pink Lemonade Hair
Instagram/@bellahadid 'This was from a cover [shoot] in London and we never even ended up using it. Right after that shot, we took off the wig. I love pink hair. I [had] blue hair when I was 15, so, I'm used to colouring. If I didn't model, I'd have my hair a light blue. I don't know if I'd go all the way pink. Growing up, I wanted light pastel-y hair. That was a fun moment. Should I do it? My hair might be pink next week!'

Tousled Bob
Getty Images 'This was the Alexander Wang show. I love curls. Growing up, my hair had a wavy curl to it so I love bringing that back. And I love putting a little bit of silver on the inside corner to open my eyes up. It was a great wing which is always my go-to for any look. I like to start with a wing. It always ends up elongating by the end of the day. I think that it kind of lifts my eyes, which is why I always put my hair back. It's the best shape for my eyes.'
Signature Tight Pony
Getty Images 'This was Cannes. That makeup look was one of my favourites and I keep trying to recreate it. It's funny because when I was still in high school going to little red carpets with my mom, I would do my own hair and make-up. I became obsessed with perfecting my ponytail on my own. So, I became very used to it and I'm obsessed with the fact that it pulls my face back. Everyone makes fun of me for doing that all the time! I think I love not touching my hair and being able to have fun without worrying.'
Dramatic Blue Pixie
Getty Images 'Oooh, this was the Fendi show in Milan! I was obsessed with it because my hair was [once] that blue. Maybe I should just do it [dye my hair]. I'm not gonna ask anybody! One of my best friends, Jesse Jo Stark, she's always had that exact turquoise in her hair.
It definitely brought me back to some of the [1994] Chanel show— they had all the different colored extensions. That make-up was one of my favourite show looks of all time. It fit perfectly on so many people.'

Corkscrew Curls
Instagram/@bellahadid 'I love a curly hair moment. I don't do it often. But, I've always been envious of girls with beautiful, curly hair. When my friends growing up had beautiful curly hair, I was always so jealous. It was my [real] hair! It was definitely before they brushed it out.'
Classic Hollywood Glam
Getty Images 'This was pretty much my go-to at the time, when my hair was still short. I was self-conscious about it still. Normally, I'd wake up in the morning and just go. But with my short hair, I had to style it because it'd get all crazy when I slept. I didn't like to have to blowdry my hair.'
Liquid Gold Hair
Getty Images 'This was Margiela. John Galliano is one of my all-time idols. Doing that show is one of the biggest deals for me because I always wanted to work with him. Seeing him work was amazing. This hair and make-up was so cool because we don't get to do that a lot in fashion. This day, I had gold hair. Red lips. This was a brace that went around and it held my mouth shut so I couldn't talk the entire time in line-up. They put Elmer's glue on my lips—that was definitely a very memorable day.'
