ELLE met with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the launch of the Coca Cola Life Boutique to try the product alongside the model and actress.
Rosie took five minutes out to talk health, fitness and home cooking with us…
Since the new product is called Coca Cola Life, what are the life moments that make you most happy?
For me, it’s all about being with good company. Whether it’s working or not, I always try to surround myself with people I’m going to have a good time with, who I can be myself with, lots of laughter and fun. I guess when I think of my happiest moments, they’re always surrounded by friends, family, good food, good music, dancing and just enjoying myself and being free and feeling at ease.
What exercise do you do?
I’m not particularly loyal to one type of exercise, but this year I’ve been doing a lot of Pilates and that has changed my body. My teacher used to be a ballet dancer so she knows how to keep me lean. I like to dance so I really like Tracy Anderson’s method.
Does music help motivate your workouts?
Calvin Harris’ Summer has been on there a lot. Rihanna, Beyonce, anything that gets me up and gets me wanting to move and shake. Good dance music; all the old classics. And when it starts to wind down, I love a bit of meditation music as well.
Do you cook?
I try to eat organic and clean; I have loads of recipe books at home. There’s one my mum gave me by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall called Three Good Things. It’s really easy and most of the time you’ll find that you have three good things in the fridge. I like to keep things really simple at home. I don’t want to spend hours making a dinner or a lunch. I want to prepare it, sit down and enjoy it.
What makes you feel most empowered?
If I haven’t got to the gym for a couple of weeks I’ll feel sluggish and run down and lazy. As soon as I start back on that exercise treadmill again, I feel better about my body. My energy and endorphin levels go up. Putting that hour aside a day to focus on yourself, your body and your mind, it all follows afterwards.
Why Coco Cola Life?
It has stevia [a natural sweetener], but it tastes like traditional Coca Cola. Plus green is my favourite colour; it’s soothing.
The newest addition to the Coca Cola line-up is lower in calories and sweetened from natural sources - a blend of sugar and stevia. The Coca Cola Life Boutique, 36 South Molton Street, London, is open now until tomorrow Saturday 20 September. Head there, try Coca Cola Life and you could be in with the chance of winning life experiences like flying lessons or a trip to New York.
