Jason Vale's Juice Recipes

Ingredients:

2 Golden Delicious apples

¼ medium pineapple (with or without the skin, depending on your juicer)

Handful spinach

½ lime (peeled)

½ stick celery

3cm chunk cucumber

1 cm chunk ginger

¼ medium avocado

Small handful ice cubes

Method: Juice all of the ingredients, except the avocado and ice.

Pour the juice into a blender along with the avocado flesh and ice.

Blend until smooth, then serve.

Ingredients:

½ medium courgette

1cm slice/chunk fennel

15 sugar snap peas (or beans)

½ lime (skin on)

Small handful ice cubes

Method: Juice all the ingredients, except the ice cubes.

Pour over the ice and serve.

Why?: This juice will give you an energy boost and provide key nutrients such as vitamins C, B and K as well as iron, calcium and potassium.

½ lemon (wax-free, skin on)

½ stick celery

¼ medium cucumber

2cm chunk broccoli stem

½ medium avocado

Small handful ice cubes

Why?: Avocado contains essential fats, which keep you satiated and help to prevent cardiovascular disease. Combining Kale, Spinach, and Broccoli makes it extremely rich in chlorophyll and essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and natural sugars.

Method: Juice all the ingredients except the avocado and ice.

1 small bulb raw beetroot

½cm chunk fresh ginger root

4 sprigs fresh basil, with leaves

Small handful ice cubes

Why?: According to various studies, the high level of nitrates found in beetroot keep the blood vessels dilated, meaning that high blood pressure is reduced. This juice also contains vitamin B, C, beta-carotene, as well as calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium, potassium and magnesium.

Pour over the ice and serve.

Ingredients:

2 Golden Delicious Apples

2 handfuls fresh or frozen mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries)

2 tbsp natural yoghurt (use soya if you are vegan, or leave out altogether if you prefer)

½ banana (use one whole banana if you have left out the yoghurt)

1 tbsp mixed seeds

Handful ice cubes

Method: Put the banana and seeds into a blender.
