If there were a biggest political and fiscal loser competition, England is suddenly feeling like a competitor.

Yes, yes, of course we could be worse off, I don't mean to make light of the more dire situations globally, but in the wake of Brexit and our ridiculously embarrassing exit from the UEFA Euro 2016, it's quite hard not to feel thoroughly down in the dumps.

Last Friday at ELLE, we were beginning to feel so miserable that we only allowed the team to publish happy content all day, in a bid to make ourselves (and our readers) feel better about the world. 

But now that England has performed so unfortunately in their match against Iceland, we're back in the pits and needing some comfort.
